Updates and Firmware

Wolffhound, the ProPatch app, and the unit's firmware are updated separately, and each has its own version. This chapter covers all three.

Before you update

  1. Save a full backup from System Configuration › BACKUP. See Sessions, Files, and Backups.
  2. Export any Sessions you'd need to recover, especially before you switch release channels.

Wolffhound

Wolffhound's version is in its menus. Wolffhound shows its release channel, such as Beta or Alpha, in the tab bar.

ProPatch app

To see the ProPatch app's version, click the PRO PATCH model block at the top left to open App Info. COPY copies the version, build, and unit serial number.

When an update is ready, the gear at the top right reads Update. Save a full backup before you install it.

Firmware

To check for firmware, open Preferences… from Wolffhound's ☰ menu and choose PROPATCH › FIRMWARE › CHECK FOR FIRMWARE UPDATES. Don't install firmware files from any other source.

Release channels

A release channel is the Wolffhound software track, such as production or beta. Session data can be kept separately per release channel, so export your Sessions before you switch channels.
